What Are Fillers and How Do They Work?

Injectable fillers were among the top five non-surgical procedures performed in 2018, according to the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS).

Their recent published statistics, in fact, referred to the “perennially popular injectables” as a major growing cosmetic trend.

For the millions who get them, injectable fillers are a proven way to smooth skin complexion, plump up sunken areas, and tighten facial contours.

And they avoid far more invasive approaches while delivering results that are arguably just as effective.

Fillers are among our Medspa’s rapidly growing repertoire of non-invasive facial treatments that provide patients powerful rejuvenation, convenience, and comfort.

Our Medspa currently offers Restylane®.

Restylane®

What It’s Made Of

Restylane® also uses a form of hyaluronic acid to fill in sunken areas along the eye areas and upper cheeks.

How It Works

This filler is used to restore lost volume under the eyes and along the upper cheeks. The injectable works by filling these areas with a clear gel hyaluronic acid, instantly plumping them up for a more youthful appearance.

What It Does for the Face

Restylane® is particularly useful at getting rid of sunken, dark areas under the eyes, which can prematurely create an aged, tired appearance. The injectable can also fill sunken areas along the upper cheeks, restoring facial contours.
