Fighting back against aging can often seem like a losing battle, particularly when dealing with wrinkles and loose or sagging skin.
Laser treatments provide an appealing alternative to more invasive methods while still offering powerful results.
Laser skin resurfacing and other laser treatments give your skin the focus it needs to improve skin from the inside out, resulting in a naturally rejuvenating effect.
Shining a Light On Laser Treatments
The first laser treatments were developed for tattoo removal, but they quickly evolved to serve a variety of medicinal and cosmetic needs.
From laser hair removal to lightening scars, laser treatments can now be tailored to suit nearly any patient’s needs. Most are minimally invasive and come with little to no side effects.
How Does Laser Work?
Laser treatments use concentrated beams of light to target the underlying layer of skin (dermis).
This encourages the skin to produce new skin cells and collagen fibers, which work to rejuvenate skin from within.
Laser treatments also gently remove the outer layer of skin, starting up a regenerative process. New skin appears that is firmer and toned.
What Can a Laser Do?
- Tighten sagging skin
- Reduce wrinkles
- Remove dark spots and other deformities
- Improve skin tone and texture
- Reduce acne scars
What Laser Treatment Should I Try?
Laser treatments are easily customized to treat a wide range of cosmetic concerns. What works best depends on each patient and what areas are treated.
The Medspa offers the following laser treatments:
BroadBand Light (BBL)™ Treatments
How It Improves Skin: One of the most powerful pulsed light systems, BBL™ treatments can use different wavelengths to better target problem areas and improve skin.
BBL™ is particularly effective at removing dark spots, age spots, freckles, and improving skin redness and overall tone. It can also be a great treatment to lighten scars.
Most patients will need repeated treatments, done at three- to four-week intervals, to get the best results.
Halo™ Laser Treatments
How It Improves Skin: This innovative system uses two different laser wavelengths to provide a higher level of rejuvenation with less heat and damage for quicker healing.
This hybrid approach means laser beams reach target areas faster, starting up the natural rejuvenation process.
At the same time, the outer layer of skin remains intact. This results in much less downtime than other laser systems.
Halo™ treatments can be quickly administered, with sessions taking as little as 30 minutes (although repeated sessions may be needed depending on the area treated).
