Breast Lift With Augmentation

Schedule A Consultation

Many women have visions of how their ideal bust would look. However, for many women, the size and shape of their breasts are less than ideal. Genetics plays a significant role in how the breasts look, but life experiences, such as pregnancy, breastfeeding, and significant shifts in weight, can also make them look deflated and saggy. For many women, a breast augmentation seems to be the perfect way to adjust the size and shape of their breasts and give them the ideal bust. But a breast augmentation alone will not correct sagging or drooping. To change the size and address sagging breasts, a breast lift combined with a breast augmentation will give you the perfect perky breasts you’ve always wanted.

Why Do I Need a Breast Lift?

A breast lift raises your breasts to a more natural position on the chest. Dr. Hochstein will lift the breast higher on the chest and remove any excess skin and tissue that might be present. The technique he uses depends on the degree of breast ptosis (or sagging) that you are experiencing.

Benelli Lift

This type of lift is appropriate for women who are experiencing mild to moderate ptosis, which means that the breast tissue has started to drop below the inframammary fold. Additionally, this lift is appropriate if the nipples are facing downward slightly. With this technique, Dr. Hochstein makes an incision around the areola to remove a donut-shaped piece of tissue. He can also remove additional tissue to allow for easier movement of the nipple.

Lollipop Lift

If you’re experiencing moderate to severe ptosis, then a lollipop lift is the most appropriate for you. Dr. Hochstein makes an incision around the areola and continues it down the front of the breast. Not only is he able to lift the breasts, but he is also able to restore a more natural, firm contour to your breasts.

Mastopexy Lift

If you are experiencing severe ptosis where your nipples are pointing down, and you have a significant amount of sagging skin, then a mastopexy lift would best benefit you. The incision is made around the areola, down the front of the breast, and across the inframammary fold. The higher degree of sagging that this lift addresses requires additional support across the inframammary fold, which is achieved through sutures.

How Does a Breast Augmentation Fit in?

Once Dr. Hochstein has corrected the sagging and repositioned the breasts to a higher placement on the chest, he can enhance the changes with a breast augmentation. He will place your chosen implants (material and size) in; with this procedure, not only are your breasts lifted, but they’ve increased in size, as well.

One Procedure, Not Two

Combining your breast augmentation with a lift can provide you with several benefits beyond leaving you with an aesthetic you’ve been dreaming of. By undergoing these procedures at the same time, you significantly decrease the recovery time that is associated with each procedure as you only have to recover once (instead of twice!) when these procedures are performed in tandem. You will also see a financial benefit in having these procedures performed together since surgical costs will only have to be charged once.

A breast lift is the only way to correct sagging breasts. After raising your breasts to a higher and more natural placement on your chest, breast implants will only serve to further enhance your new look.
