The $16 million Pegasus World Cup Invitational returned back to Gulfstream Park for its second year on Saturday, as The Stronach Group presented the world’s richest race. The race was unlike no other, nearly 10,000 fans, celebrities, horse racing elites, Miami influencers, socialites, and more witnessed horse Gun Runner, ridden by Jockey Florent Geroux, reign supreme. Pegasus World Cup Invitational stepped it up a notch by Belinda Stronach, Chairman and President of The Stronach Group partnered with David Grutman as he brought the LIV Boardwalk Village Pop-Up to the richest horse race. The LIV Boardwalk Village Pop-Up not only brought A-list celebs and chart-topping performances to the horse race, Ludacris hosted headliner Post Malone and DJ Ruckus stunned the crowd for a show stopping performance. LIV Boardwalk Village Pop-Up included a gourmet food carnival from Grutman’s restaurants, Komodo, OTL, Planta, and Gulfstream Park’s Adena Grill. Celebrities in attendance were, Pharrell Williams, Lenny Kravitz, Post Malone, Ludacris, Olivia Culpo, Wilmer Valderrama, and Prince Royce. Guests sipped on Heineken, Perrier-Jouët, and Absolut Elyx as they watched the races unfold. Porsche Ultimate featured combination of exclusive, high-end sports cars on display near the blue carpet. Belinda Stronach, told reporters after the race that the Pegasus World Cup Invitational will remain at Gulfstream Park and return in 2019 for the third annual race.
